Hi I'm Bonnie

Dr. Bonnie Cardell is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and psychophysiology specialist who provides compassionate, evidence-based telehealth therapy for adults. She specializes in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, ADHD, and life transitions, with particular expertise in supporting recovery from traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury (ABI), stroke, and other conditions affecting the brain and nervous system. Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, breathing retraining, biofeedback-informed self-regulation, and Logotherapy (meaning-centered therapy) to help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and create lasting change. Dr. Cardell holds a Ph.D. in Applied Psychophysiology and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy. She believes healing occurs when clients are empowered with practical tools, compassionate support, and a deeper understanding of how the brain and body work together. She is committed to providing culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ affirming care and welcomes clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds. Dr. Cardell also provides evaluations and letters of support for gender-affirming hormone therapy (HRT) and gender-affirming surgeries in accordance with established standards of care. Whether you're navigating the emotional impact of a neurological condition, recovering from trauma, or seeking greater balance and purpose, Dr. Cardell offers a collaborative, personalized approach to help you move forward with confidence and resilience.
